I'm currently slurping liquidy homemade applesauce in a body that doesn't consume solid food much anymore. This was what I needed today, apparently. The brown sugar tastes richer, the apples feel more toothsome, and I feel more normal. Thank you. <3

This floored me. Elijah, the grace and grit in how you hold space for your younger self—without erasing their fear, but also without letting that fear define the future—is one of the most generous acts I’ve ever seen rendered on the page. That final line—“There’s us. There is always us.”—feels like both anchor and lifeline. Thank you for this beautiful mirror, and for reminding us that transformation doesn't erase our past selves... it invites them home.

That is a lovely reflection on meeting yourself from decades ago. In the same lines, I will reflect on my older self in decazdes hence, and what he might say to me.
